A small garden centre but nice enough choice of plants and products etc. Wasnt enough staff on the tills when i was there today neither anyone around to help. Other than that i found it nice for a quick look around
It's with a tinge of sadness I write about my experience in the Fonthill cafe today. I live locally and over the years have spent many happy times and lots of hard earned cash in this establishment. After ordering drinks cake and a cheese n ham panini lunch for my granddaughter we sat and waited for the panini to arrive.. after 20 minutes a prompt was given to the waiting staff...7mins later It finally arrived. Cold in the middle and cheese still in its grated form. We are not a family who complain but felt it necessary on this occasion. The inside was shown to a member of staff who asked if we wanted another one. No, not enough time to wait was the answer.. at the till I asked another member of staff what the response from the kitchen was to my complaint. Incredibly all I got was a blank look. I could see the youngsters behind the counter were busy and short staffed so we decided to leave. My daughter, granddaughter and I were very disappointed especially as we have been loyal patrons over the years . There is another garden centre nearby which we may find more customer appreciative.
